Bee Pollination and Colony Callaspe Disorder

West Coast Pollination Company is a huge advocate of the working honey bee. Bee pollination is an important part of agriculture and our survival. Since we believe that bees they are a huge part of farming we want to do whatever it it takes to perserve these hard workers. We wanted to share with you a startling article on CCD or Collany Collaspe Disorder.

Collany Collaspe Disorder
In Febuary we found an article from Western Farm Press addressing the issue of colany collaspe disorder. The article pointed out that 30% of bees disappeared last winter. In this article they shared professors from the University of Georgia believe that a combination of factors contribute to colony collapse disorder, or CCD, including pesticide exposure, environmental and nutritional stresses, new or reemerging pathogens and a virus that targets the bees' immune systems.
